Three Hughson High FFA students intending to pursue careers in agribusiness recently received scholarships from the Turlock Chamber of Commerce. All three will graduate from high school this spring.

Khloe Alberto was awarded $2,000. She plans to attend Modesto Junior College before transferring to a four-year college. She would like to become a high school ag teacher. As an FFA member, she has earned her State Degree and has shown dairy heifers at the Stanislaus County Fair.

Isaiah Lundquist received $1,500. He plans to attend a trade school to become a welder. He also has a State FFA Degree and has shown pigs at the county fair.

Gary Coldicutt was awarded $1,000. He intends to go to MJC before transferring to a diesel mechanics school in Montana. He has participated on Hughson’s farm power team.

The Turlock Chamber of Commerce selects recipients based on their commitment to agriculture, community involvement and academics. The scholarship process requires students to complete an application composed of a biographical essay and letters of recommendation.
